Happy New Year, Airens! 💚 2023 brought its share of challenges, but it was also filled with remarkable moments. Let's take a nostalgic journey and revisit some of the most memorable moments of 2023 with our star, Lee Seung Gi 🌟

KBS DRAMA AWARDS

Lee Seung Gi's presence at the 2022 KBS Drama Awards was headline-worthy, and he further garnered attention by clinching the prestigious Grand Award (Daesang)👏.

This marked Actor Lee Seung Gi's first award for the year 2023, as he received the honor on January 1st. What a great start to the year!

Additionally, he secured the Best Couple Award with his co-star from "The Law Cafe," Lee Se-young.

During his speeches, he bravely and wittily expressed his gratitude and thoughts, making this appearance especially significant as it was his first appearance after the conflict with his former agency became the talk of the town. #LeeSeungGiDeservesBetter

HAIRSTYLE

Lee Seung Gi's hairstyle undeniably stole the spotlight in 2023, becoming a hot topic wherever he went. At the KBS Drama Awards, he even had to explain that he shaved his head for his role as a monk in the upcoming movie "About Family."

Everyone was shocked to see his long hair just one month after he appeared with bald head. Hence, his hairstyle once again made headlines. He then had to clarify that he was wearing a wig. 😆

Even in his shows like "Peak Time" and "Bro and Marble", viewers often got confused about his actual hairstyle, as most people found his wig to be very natural.

He also tried blonde hair in his GQ Magazine Photoshoot. As his hair continued to grow, his evolving hairstyles showcased his enduring good looks and versatility. 😍

WEDDING OF THE CENTURY

This year also marks the new chapter in Lee Seung-gi's love life as he tied the knot with Actress Lee Da-In last April 7, in the presence of their family and close acquaintances. The wedding ceremony not only became the talk of the town due to its grandeur but also because it was attended by star-studded guests. From veteran entertainers like Yoo Jae-suk and Kang Ho-dong to high-profile actors and actresses such as Han Hyo-joo, Kim Nam-gil, and Nam Koong-min, as well as representatives from different generations of singers like Yoon Jong-shin and idols from Super Junior and Seventeen – the event had a diverse array of attendees. And the list goes on! 🤩

His best friend, Lee Min-ho, attracted attention with his comment on Seung-gi's announcement post on Instagram. The two shared playful banter about Seung-gi singing his popular song "Will You Marry Me." Interestingly, this lighthearted exchange turned into reality, as Lee Seung-gi indeed serenaded his bride on their wedding with that very song! 😍

Their journey as a couple may have encountered numerous challenges, but they have strongly held each other's hand to overcome them all and this February 2024, they are expecting their first child to be born. Congratulations!💖

CHAPTER 2 AS SINGER

From Asia Tour to US Tour, Lee Seung-gi has flown to several countries to perform this year!🤩

This year, Lee Seung-gi focused more on his singing activities, hosting concerts in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand as part of his Asia Tour 2023, "The Dreamer's Dream - Chapter 2". This marks his first solo concert in 10 years so his fans were extremely happy to be given opportunity to watch his performances.

Followed by his successful Asia Tour, he held his first-ever concert in US. Despite of the challenges in relation with the sponsor and entertainment company, it was evident during his concerts that the support and love of US Airens for Seung-gi is tremendous. Lee Seung-gi even sang songs requested by his fans, receiving praise for his excellent fan service.

But he didn't stop there. He also held a fan meeting in Malaysia, where he sang wholeheartedly and interacted with the fans. Additionally, he visited the Philippines twice, once for a charity event and another for the Chimaek Festival arranged by BBQ Chicken, where he delivered a performance that the Filipinos thoroughly enjoyed. He also revisited Tokyo and Osaka for the Billboard Live Tour, earning high praise from the audience.

What made his performances even greater were the live band and the live vocals.💯 His live singing demonstrated an impressive level of expertise, emotion, and genuineness in each musical note, deserving of praises.

VARIETY SHOW KING

Not just one but five! From food show, talk show, and game variety show to competition shows, Lee Seung-gi showcased his skills as award winning entertainer in every genre.

In "Ramyeon Brothers" (also known as Ramyun Brothers in Japan), he showed his cooking skills and excellent costumer service, complemented with his multilingual abilities. Meanwhile, in "Strong Heart League" (also known as Thumbnail Battle: The Strongest Hearts), he captivated the audience with his skills in engaging in conversation and bringing out the best in the guest as one of the two main hosts of the show. These two shows marks his reunion in shows with his entertainment mentor and close friend, Kang Ho-dong, after 8 years since "New Journey to the West".

He also reunited with "Sing Again" production team twice this year!🤩

Both "Peak Time" and "Sing Again 3" highlighted his excellence as a competition show host. His empathy towards the contestants, outstanding reactions to performances, and witty remarks left viewers touched and amazed.

Did you also noticed that he has worked with Kyuhyun thrice this year?😆

They are known to have good chemistry in "Peak Time" and "Sing Again" because of their tiki-taka. Additionally, this year they also teamed up as banker and player in "Bro and Marble" (also known as "Bro Marble" and "Bro and Marble in Dubai"). I just can't get enough of how witty and playful the banker is especially when teasing the players.🤣

Aside from the grand production and well-designed game, all the members of the show showed great chemistry, making the viewers wish for Season 2.
